Ginger's Diet
We bought the highest rated and possibly the most expensive
commercially available dog food.
We followed veterinary advice and protocol for wellness checks and vaccinations.
We lived a normal life.
For Ginger, it turned out to be nearly fatal.
Poor nutrition. Too many vaccinations. Too many toxins.
We learned the hard way years ago that what we thought supported Ginger's health actually challenged her immune system and depleted her nutritionally. It was only after Ginger became diabetic, insulin dependent, that we took control of her natural health and learned about raw food, supplements and supporting her immune system.
The information provided here is based on our personal experience and research dedicated to promoting Ginger's health and her special needs as an insulin dependent diabetic dog and as a survivor of hemangiosarcoma after a splenectomy (spleen removal). Please refer to Canine Diet to learn more.
Some products listed here are available through my website while others are available from your vet or a nutrition store. Ginger weighs about 70 lbs. Adjust the amount of food you serve your dog according to your dog's weight.
Appetizers:
Small amount of cooked ground lamb or turkey in her food dish. Add 4 tsp. psyllium husks, 3 electrolyte capsules, opened, ½ package FortiFlora (canine probiotic) and some water. Add a little broth then mash with a fork and mix well.
Meal:
About 8-9 ounces of meat/egg combo with water
1 tsp Whole leaf aloe vera concentrate
1 tsp olive oil
some broth for flavor
Following meal or with the meal, give 2 Healthy Aging and ½ tablet MSM for her joints, 1 milk thistle and 1 goldenseal and one Nu-Immune all coated in coconut oil and a tiny drop of almond butter. Ginger gets a total number of 8 Healthy Aging per day
Follow with a mixture of about 1 tblsp colostrum, 1-2 opened capsules of essential electrolytes with a little purified water and 2 scoops Geniflora probiotic for pets. Flavor with broth if necessary.
Supplements:
I gave Ginger these supplements throughout the day with a thin coating of coconut oil and a drop of almond butter.

Liquid Zeolite:
I gave 10 drops every hour in a crisis to equal about 60-100 drops per day.
* Please note that some supplements support Ginger as a diabetic and are not related to her experience with cancer.
