Assess and celebrate. It’s hard to know where you’re going without realizing where you are today and where you were yesterday. Small steps toward your goal may be hard to recognize but with frequent assessments, looking at the positive aspects of how you feel right now and recording your assessment you’ll learn how to continue moving forward. Celebrate your achievements. Any victory counts.

Honor your current situation. You may not feel great right now, but there is a reason why that is so. Without guilt or blame, look for the positive aspects of what you feel may be out of alignment with how you want to feel. Taking extra time to rest may be exactly the reason why you’re sick. Self-care, extra sleep and time for rest allow healing on more than the physical level. Add a hot flax pack with essential oils for extra soothing.

Play and laugh. Sometimes it’s hard to laugh when you don’t feel good. However, there may be no better medicine than laughter. Without thinking about it, your body feels the difference. Watch a funny movie or play with your dog for healing benefits.

Choose green tea without the cookies, hot soup instead of pizza and fresh fruit instead of soda or juice. Antioxidants and vitamins from foods offer healing properties that sugars and starches just can’t. Your choices for more nutritious foods can stay with you long after you recover. Keep up your good habits.

Supplement with potent liquid nutrients and super-foods. When your appetite isn’t good, supplements become more important. Take a complete multi-nutrient complex, full of whole fruits, minerals and vitamins. Add medicinal mushrooms and D3 to support your immune system.

Hydrate. You may think you drink enough water, but you probably don’t. Now that the germs have arrived drinking water becomes even more important. While you’re drinking water, be sure to detox with zeolite to flush germs and toxins right out of your system. Get an extra benefit from the anti-viral properties of zeolite.

Though these natural methods are helpful, they are not a substitute for medical care. Contact your doctor for extra help when needed.
