Dog Appreciation

F.I.D.O., Friends Involved in Dog Outreach drew a small crowd of animal lovers and supporters today in Oregon City, OR. Though the temperatures were in the 90′s we had splash pools and sprinklers for the dogs. What a summer blast! Most importantly, the event collected food for the food bank which supplies meals for pets of families in need.

As a vendor representing natural healing solutions (Waiora and Reiki) I am excited about the wonderful people I met who also appreciate the value of natural health options. From rescue groups to trainers and guests, the one underlying thread we all share is our love for animals and the connection we share by having animals involved in our lives. If you appreciate your dog, share your story here.

Here’s more information about FIDO. Please visit their website and support their worthy cause.

FIDO is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, founded in June 2004 by citizens and business people of Clackamas County, Oregon, who wanted to help ensure a bright future for all dogs in the county by supporting the work of Clackamas County Dog Services.

In March of 2005 we added our AniMeals program.

In February of 2009 we launched our FIDO Dog Food Bank. In October of 2010 we expanded our program to include Cats!
